System Setup
Since all events are unique, we have developed a simple, generic step-by-step process to assist you in the creation of your registration pages. Certain key pieces of information (i.e. start date, end date, review dates, etc.) will set the system in motion. Your involvement in the submission process after the system has been set up should be minimal. Precis is intuitive and has been designed to run by itself.
Submissions
Upon completion of the event setup, you may announce your call for
papers and begin accepting abstract submissions. Submitters will be
sent to the registration page, that you helped build, during the setup
process. From there, all the information you have required will be
collected.
Review
Once the abstract is uploaded to the system it is sorted for delivery to the review panel. You can assign reviewers to the categories / topics they are responsible for grading, automatically by the number of reviewers a submission needs to have assigned, or manually assign them through the web interface. The system will send only the abstracts they are required to view. Reviewers will be able to assign a grade, reject, or accept each abstract they review. Grades will be averaged automatically by the system and sorted accordingly.
Program Committee
The Committee Management Center™ allows for quick and easy selection and scheduling online during the program committee meetings. Sessions are scheduled live in the system and the committee can see the program graphically for planning and topic conflict resolution.
Scheduling
The Precis Session Management Center™ is a sophisticated manual and automatic scheduling system for the assignment of presentations to time slots. The Center’s intelligent algorithm will help the conference manager to automatically manage room size assignments, AV equipment, and room setup to name a few.

Communication
The Precis Communication Center™ allows conference managers, staff and program leaders to easily communicate with submitters, presenters, and reviewers throughout the submission process.
Distribution to Publisher
Once all abstracts have been reviewed and processed, the system will sort
all submissions based on your criteria for printing. Precis offers three
delivery methods for transfer of abstract submissions. The preferred mode
of delivery will depend on the capabilities of the printer. We can send files
via email, download from web, or on a CD. Attendee Program Search / Itinerary
Precis includes an online program search and personal itinerary builder for
attendees. The program can be searched by date, topic, free text, speaker,
or session number. Attendees can select sessions of interest to add into
their online personal itinerary.
Post Event
Once the files have been delivered to the publisher, Precis will archive all
abstract submissions and system setup preferences. Access to archived
files is granted to the members designated during your account setup.
Profiles are saved to expedite setup of recurring events. By using a previous
profile one can greatly reduce the time required to create a new event.
Online Grading
for Reviewers
Reviewers are sent only the submissions they have been assigned to judge. After logging into the system they can read each abstract online or print
them out. Grades, Disposition, and Comments can all be entered directly
online.
